If you have lost money to a scam, you are not alone and you are not to blame. Gladevale helps you make sense of what happened, put your case in order and protect yourself against the next attempt.
Only just sent money? Contact your bank or card provider straight away, before anything else. Speed matters most.
What we do
Practical support, without judgement.
Scams are built to convince careful people. Being caught by one says nothing about you. This is how we help once it has happened.
-
Case review
We listen first. Then we map out what happened, step by step and without judgement.
-
Evidence and reporting
We help you organise your documents and prepare clear reports for your bank, payment provider, the police and the regulator.
-
Protection plan
We help you secure your accounts and devices, and guard against the follow-up scams that can come next.
-
Awareness
We walk through the patterns scammers rely on, so you can recognise the next attempt.
How it works
Three steps, at your pace.
-
Tell us what happened
Write to us in your own words. A few lines are enough to begin, and you do not need to have everything in order.
-
We review it and explain your options honestly
We read what you send and set out what is realistic and what is not, in plain English.
-
You decide what happens next
Nothing goes ahead without your agreement. If you choose to continue, we support you with each step.
Stay safe
Six signs worth pausing for.
Scams change their story, but they lean on the same few moves. If you notice one of these, stop and give yourself time before you do anything else.
-
Guaranteed or unusually high returns.
-
Pressure to act immediately, or to keep it secret.
-
Requests to install remote-access software or share your screen.
-
Payment asked for in crypto, gift cards or by transfer to a personal account.
-
Anyone asking for passwords, one-time codes or wallet recovery phrases.
-
Strangers who contact you first, promising to recover lost money for an upfront fee.
One sign is enough. Take your time, and talk it over with someone you trust before you send money or details.
Our commitments
What you can expect from us.
Three things that hold from the first email onwards.
-
No guarantees.
Only an honest view of what is and is not realistic.
-
Your codes stay yours.
We will never ask for your passwords, PINs, one-time codes or wallet recovery phrases.
-
You stay in control.
Nothing is done without your agreement.
Can you get my money back?
No one can honestly guarantee that, and it is wise to be wary of anyone who does. It depends on how the money was sent, how quickly it was reported and who received it.
What we can do is help you understand your real options and present your case clearly.
What should I do first?
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately.
- Report it to the police.
- Stop all contact with the scammer.
- Do not send any more money.
What does it cost?
Any fees are explained in writing before you agree to anything.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. We use what you share only to respond to you and to assist you. The details are in our Privacy Notice.
Someone contacted me offering to recover my money. Is that safe?
Be very careful. Unsolicited recovery offers that ask for an upfront payment are a common second scam. Do not pay, and do not share passwords, codes or recovery phrases.
